I've been published!!!!!

Firstly can I just give a huge wave to my new followers - thank you for clicking that button :c)

My new issue of Cross Stitch Crazy dropped through the letter box this afternoon - funny I thought that looks familiar lol

This is how he ended up looking very cute in red gingham - have I mentioned I absolutely adore gingham???

While I'm on the subject (loosely) of books and magazines I've just finished the latest Linwood Barclay and would have to say it is his best to date although Never Look Away was also brilliant.

I'm always reading something and sadly enjoy poking round in the library

Anything goes with Teddy Bo

When I was making my card for the blog hop I was having terrible trouble with Bo playing up he insisted on being printed on Pink Petticoat Sand card and then diving into my Aquarelle pencils to make this valentine card. (TEDDYBO_166)

Unfortunately it's so big I now have to make it an envelope as I don't have anything to fit it.

He's also fed up with me not knowing what day of the week it is so made himself (TEDDYBO_164_red) into a calendar using a CD cover and Raspberry Road paper and is now covering up the dust on my craft room windowsill

It's D'Arcy Day

Mine! MIne! MIne!

It's not just paper bears that I have a soft spot for. I found this fabric in a tiny haberdashery shop in Brigg when I went out to buy coffee yesterday.

Note to self: Asda Chosen by You is absolutely no substitute for Nescafe lol!

They didn't have any gingham in colours I hadn't got so I bought hearts and those (completely out of character) really cute roses. Wonder what they'll turn into????

I used the remains of some buckram to stiffen the bag, which on reflection is a bit too thick and it could do with some kind of clasp but it's mine all mine :c)

Promarker Storage

I've had my few (cough) Promarkers in a vanity case for a while but it only had 3 sections so was driving me mad every time I had to fish about for a particular colour - greys were a nightmare.

Not any more!!!???!!!

These are 4x4 inch cardboard packing boxes from eBay at the extortionate price of £3.25 for 10.

You can't really see from the picture but I've added diagonal strips of mountboard to divide each one in 2

I can't decide what to decorate them with although I did find this when I went to pick up a couple of skeins of embroidery thread to finish off the nightmare gingham border on my grandbaby's birth sampler - ever wish you'd not started something.........

Teddy Bo is 1 with a hop

I really can't believe the bears are 1 and to celebrate we are having a birthday blog hop!!!

There are some fabulous prizes to be won, including vouchers and candy, and there is also a chance to win a Teddy Bo and Co digi stamp from each member of the wonderful design team.

Bo was being very naughty while I was trying to make my card and kept jumping about all over the place so unfortunately some of his balloons popped and I had to replace them with chipboard and die cut ones.

I've used TEDDYBO_168 who is new today and made him purple as it's my husband's favourite colour. He's been working in Scotland since August and hasn't been home for 2 weeks now so am going to stick a picture of myself in it so he recognises me LOL!!!???!!!

A bit sad

Its a beautiful day here today and so wrong for this type of card but sadly needs must as my cousin lost her fight with leukemia at the weekend.

Simple cards made from First Edition Butterfly Dreams papers and a stamp set from Imagine That Stamps 

Kind of Pooh

This card kind of made itself - the die cut fell out of my small (it really is small!) stack of distress inks. I have no idea either how it got there or where it came from.

I was looking for my Making Memories blue gingham paper when this off cut fell out of another stack and even though I eventually found the blue I stuck with the polka dots.

Saturated Canary

Just a quickie from me today as my daughter dragged me round the new huge Poundland and Home Bargains and my feet hurt lol! They also don't make parking spaces as big as they used to - fortunately I have parking sensors so only hung out a little bit!!!!

I finally used one of my Saturated Canary images and the Sizzix unloved flower dies. The papers are First Edition but I can't remember which pad. The sentiment is from Imagine That

A smidge of pink from me today!!! I've used TEDDYBEA_169 and given her a very bright pink raincoat with proper buttons.

The polka dot paper is Wild Rose Studio.

She's only big sis coz she's taller than both of us but she's younger and she's the big 40 today :c)

I've used D'Arcy's Diaries 010 with K & Co papers that I found hiding in the middle of a pile.

This one is part of the second release not due until 26th January but the store opens on January 12th.

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Welcome to the first Teddy Bo Tuesday of 2012 - we still have our birthstone challenge running if you've not had a chance to enter yet.

I've used brand new TEDDYBO_165, DCWV Linen Closet papers and a previously unloved Sizzix embossing folder to make hubby's birthday card - it isn't until February but I'm determined to be organised this year. I'm also going to use as much of my unused stash as possible as I'm on a zero budget this year :c)

Totally Useless Stitch A Long 2012

I've spent years thinking that my hoarding of odds and ends of thread until a stitching project is finished is strange, odd or maybe down right weird!!!

I've now found through Ali (thank you) a whole raft of people who not only think this is normal but it should be positively encouraged so I've found myself a jar to keep my odds and ends in and joined up for the Totally Useless Stitch A Long 2012 with Daffy Cat and am looking forward to adding to my jar during the

Happy New Year

Well it's 2012 and i wonder what it has in store for us all???

2011 was a landmark year for me.

I gave up smoking in February.

I got an insect bite the size of a 2 pence coin in July which made my legs swell up into stumps in July.

I voluntarily gave up my job in December in preparation for a major relocation.

In 2012 I will have a new house a new job and a new me!!!

My blog is also going to show a bit more than cards as my first love has always been fabric probably because both my aunt and grandmother were seamstresses. I used to love going and sitting in my nanny's back bedroom surrounded by thread and remnants.

Anyhoo my card today uses Daisy who arrived at my house all the way from Australia courtesy of Elphine House and because I've used circles I would like to enter their challenge as well as Aud's Sentiments

She also fits my challenge over at MSE "It was essential at the time but it's still in the packet"
