Offcuts Card

This card was made from my scrap box and the peel off is one I bought when I first started making cards.
Image is a Whiff of Joy one that I got from Quixotic. I expect I'll be doing a lot of this in the New Year but my PJ's have penguins on them :c)

New Bunnies

This is actually a sympathy card as my friend lost her mum on Boxing Day but other than the black edges I didn't want to make it sad.
These cute bunnies were brought to me by Santa courtesy of Crafty Emmas Store. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the scalloped edging is a Nellie Snellen border die. The flowers are by Papermania.

I would like to enter them into:

In with the new

Well I hope you had a fantastic day yesterday. We have a new challenge at I Did it Creations for you today with a theme of in with the new so no excuse not to play with all that new stash the big man in the red suit brought you lol!

We are sponsored by Sylvie's Stamps this week and I've used Dino Nest for my baby card coloured with promarkers and cut out with my new nestie labels :c. The lettering is cu with Sizzix Girls are Weird dies. The papers are Papermania and the buttons are from my stash which I managed to throw all over the floor picking them out. Note to self: do not try and balance embellie box on lap ever again unless you wish to rearrange your entire button, charm flower and card candy collection.

I would like to enter this into these anything goes challenges:

Crafty Sentiments Blog Hop

Crafty Sentiments will be having a blog hop on 6th January to show off their new stuff for the new year including this cute little bear called Patches

Crafty Ribbons Gingerbread Challenge

I was lucky enough to take part in a recent challenge over at Crafty Ribbons and even luckier to win a voucher on last weeks Friday Freebie :c). You may have spotted the folder over on their blog.

Unfortunately the other projects were mislaid after they took them to Paris. I also made a keyring and a Mickey Mouse post it holder using Nestie labels 1, some Nestie circles, a book ring and of course some fab ribbon which I would like to enter into the Incy Wincy shape it challenge.

Teddy Bo Birthday

I just love this sentiment from Stitchy Bears birthday tickets set so when Gayle from Fairy Doodler asked if I would make her a Teddy Bo sample card I knew it would be perfect :c) Don't you just love his wee wooly hat? Plus he comes coloured - bonus!
Lots of supplies on this one:
MME Wild Asparagus papers, Scalloped Square Nesties, Spots & Dots embossing folder, EK Success paw punch & bear head buttons from EBay.

I would like to enter him into:

Happy Christmas to Me!

This photo was saved the right way up but blogger won't put it in the right way growl...............
Anywhoo as soon as it snowed and hubby hadn't received any parcels I ordered a few little bits for myself just in case :c)
As santa seems to have delivered said parcels addressed to the current Mr Padster I let myself have mine early. They all came from Maddylisa Crafts on ebay - I've bought from her several times this years and delivery is excellent.

Ikkle Bear with a Stitchy Ticket

I've been suffering from bear withdrawal symptoms so when I won my choice of kits from Fairy Doodler I chose this cute one called Baby Bear. The ticket is from Stitchy Bear Stamps and the paper is MME Tickled Pink. I also used my new Nellie border die (thanks Santa)

I would like to enter him into:

Anything goes at I Did it Creations

I'ts anything goes at IDIC this week and we're sponsored by Mizumedia Designs. I've cheated a bit this week and used a precoloured image called Elf Love which you can buy from Stitchy Bear.

Once again the man in the big red suit has caught me on the hop. I'm sure the last 2 weeks have just disappeared into a big hole. Fortunately I had my present shopping done early this year as with the weather we've been having here in the UK getting anything delivered is a nightmare. A bit of that fluffy white stuff and the place grinds to a halt lol!

This finally is the last of my Christmas cards so I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!

I would like to enter her into:
Karber Challenge, Crafty Sentiments, Crafty Purple Frog, Stampin for the Weekend, Crafty Emmas Store, Sweet Stampin, Allsorts & 2 Sisters.

Teachers Gifts 2010

This is DD's last year at primary school so maybe this will be the last time I have to come up with any of these.
The tubs originally held Pineapple but as they were emptied I squirreled them away to refill with Celebrations (from one of the big tins that I got half price at Tesco), tea bags, hot chocolate and a mini calendar (which I forgot to take pics of. Unfortunately the notepads wouldn't fit through the hole :c)

The paper is Papermania and the tags are made using some Penny Black stamped images that I bought last Christmas and never used.

Doodle Tag

There's a new challenge starting today at Simple Doodles sponsored by our very own Robyn and Trish asked for some volunteers from the IDIC design team to make some samples with a theme of Tags.
I've used Robyn's Stevey the Snowman on my tag which I die cut with a long forgotten Sizzix die. The ticket is from Stitchy Bear Stamps and the snowflake charm from Crafty Emma's Store.

Not many more sleeps now - suppose I'd best wrap the gift that goes with this tag.................

I'm so excited!

You could have knocked me down with something lighter than a feather when I was asked to join the DT of Party Time Tuesdays. There's a new sketch challenge up there today which I'm gonna try and make time for before I start in January. Just remember to follow the sketch and add a birthday greeting on your card.

I've also finally got round to posting a pic of the cross stitch that will shortly be a cushion as I braved the conservatory now the ice has mostly gone from the roof to get the fabric indoors (our conservatory is at the back of our garage and not attached to the house)
Ok I need to iron him as well but forgot last night as I'd bent the plug on the hoover so did his shirts to get some brownie points LOL!

Lili of The Valley Squares

The lovely Sarah sent me some of the gorgeous squares from Lili of The Valley - how quick and easy are they!
I've made a card for my step son who was 19 last week
Paper: Dovecraft
Embossing - Sizzix textured impressions - plaid
And an even quicker calendar
Paper: P&B paper pack by Stitchy at Stitchy Bear Stamps

Wednesday 15 December 2010

A bit of Fairy

There's a lovely simple sketch at Fairymoon Crafts and a gorgeous freebie at Fairydoodlers Den so I've combined the two to make a Fairy birthday card - ok so there's no fairy on it..........
Paper: MME freebie from Cardmaking & Papercrafts
Flowers: Prima Eline
Embossing: Cuttlebug Victoria

Another couple of quick cards using a couple of freebies from Di's Digi Downloads and copious amounts of stickles :c)

Sparkly shiny OAP

OAP has set the challenge over at MSE as sparkle & shine so I've made these 2 quick cards using Lili of the Valley images sent to me by Karen

Final One Stitch of the Year

Well Christmas is nearly upon us so we have a very loooooooong challenge for you at One Stitch at a Time - it runs right through to our first challenge of the New Year on 9th January. When we'll be back with a vengeance with our new DT and after a lovely few weeks rest! Hmmmmm kids and hubby off work and in the house together..........................

Just realised I'm posting this at 12:12 on the 12th of the 12th - should have posted it at 12 noon but I've had extra brave pills this week ;c)
Our theme is Surprise Surprise - so I've surprised everyone by making a grown up card without a cute or furry thing in sight. It's an anniversary card for my mum and step dad and surprise surprise I forgot to post it LOL! Will be delivering it as you read this as I'm away playing Santa this weekend "darn sarf" but looking forward to returning "oop north" as soon as I can get away even if we do still have snow :c)

I've used a gorgeous design by one of our newest creators Blackberry Lane called Tulips you can buy it at Stitchy Bear of course. The papers are DCWV and the embossing is the cuttelbug script folder on Core'Dinations. Very simple card just like it's designer LOL!

I would like to enter this into:

Fancy Folds at IDIC

We're fancy folding over at I Did It Creations this week - I suppose it could be the hospital corners on all your Christmas gifts but it might be more fun to do something else for a bit lol! I don't know whether these are giant snails or it's just a tiny cat I just hope he doesn't fall off and squash one :c)
We're sponsored by Stamping Dragon this week and I've used her Cat on Fence Image that you can buy here. The cutie snail is a special design by Jeanette from Stampin Dragon that you can buy by following the link from my sidebar. He comes in seasonal and every day versions for £1.50 each and is being sold to raise funds for the Ear Trust. The ticket is by Stitchy Stamps.

More Old Stash, New Stash at OSAAT

Another Christmas card from me using Beary Dust's image called Aphrodite that you can buy from Stitchy Bear Stamps. We have fabulous prizes this week again so get creating and join in over at OSAAT for your chance to win some goodies.
Although I've used lots of layers on this card I've kept it fairly flat to reduce the postage on our extortionate charges here in the UK - anything thicker than 5mm is charged extra.

I would like to enter her into:
Saturday challenge, Challenge up your life, Sundays with Chrissy, Crafty Anns, Delicious Doodles, Sew Many Challenges and Design Dollies

Old Stash New Stash

Red Stash Blue Stash - sorry gone a little bit mad here being stuck in with the snow so the Dr Seuss misquote can be blamed on my mental health LOL! It's challenge time again over at OSAAT with a theme of old stash new stash so basically use anything you want!
I've used Lil Diva's stamp called Penguin Family here for my hubby's christmas card - I had to keep laying over the table every time I walked past so decided not to use any loose glitter coz it plays havoc with my contact lenses LOL!
Their hats and scarves are coloured with Sakura pens to match the DCWV papers and I used the same papers to punch some snowflakes that I arranged behind the sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

I would like to enter them into:
Sew Many Challenges, Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge, Digi Doodle Shop, Stampavie, Design dollies (use at least 5 layers) & Totally Papercrafts (xmas punches)

Vintage Christmas at I Did it Creations

It's vintage christmas over at I Did It Creations this week which really was a challenge for me as I'm more of the cute and furry persuasion lol! I chose this gorgeous stamp by Hope Jacare called Lady Klimt which you can buy from Stitchy Stamps
As I didn't really have a clue what I was doing I kept it very simple even for me. Printing the image onto pale gold pearl card and leaving her uncoloured (mainly to prevent accidents). The Macintosh roses are all from a set called Mack 1 by Tanda Stamps. The sentiment is a custom one I had made when I made my wedding invitations and got it's first use nearly 3 years later :c)

I would like to enter her into:
Saturday Challenge, Challenge up Your Life, Sundays with Chrissy, Crafty Anns, & Delicious Doodles

There's snow business like this horrible white stuff

The top one is our front garden on Wednesday (can't get my caption in the right place lol!)
The second was my evidence for not being able to drive into work this morning - shovel anyone???

The lump under the washing line is actually our neighbours Vauxhall Corsa
This is from the front bedroom and the one below is this morning's icicles they are about 4 times as long now. Fingers crossed our guttering will stay where it's supposed to - we can't even encourage it off as it's frozen solid
Stay safe in this nasty weather
Hugs,
Debbie

Anyhoo hop on over to The Dragons Den to find out more information about the card drive and to see the cutie guy that you can buy to support this wonderful cause.

More Sparkle at One Stitch at a Time

A bit more sparkle for you today for this weeks challenge at OSAAT - makes a change from that horrible white stuff that we have dropping from the sky at the moment!
The papers I've used are part of the December collaboration  that you can get free if you spend $10 at Stitchy Bear Stamps plus there's a sale over there at the moment and loads of new artists.

I've used a Sugar Nellie Gorjuss girl here and coloured her with Promarkers and Sakura pens for the sparkly tights. Glitter card is from Home Bargains and sentiment is Lily of the Valley. The card is for my daughters friend's birthday tomorrow but if it keeps snowing like this I won't be going anywhere as I won't be able to get my car up the slope and out of the drive :c)
