One Two Three "B"

As the winner of the last challenge on MSE it was my responsibility to set the new one so it's:
I spy with my little eye 3 things beginning with "B"
I managed to cram a few more than 3 on my card.
Bear, Brown, Blue, Bee, Button, Bright red (lol!), Brads, Bunny, Bird, Butterfly, Blossom, tiny Bubbles embossing folder, Bling, Best wishes.

Slightly Quakers

The challenge on Papertake this week is to do something different so for some reason I decided to use yellow - a colour I normally steer well clear of even my washing machine hates it and turns anything yellow a kind of sludgy grey colour lol!
Dare U to Digistamp this week is flowers (I will get value for money from that Retro Flower Punch!)
Creative Card Crew is April Showers brings forth May Flowers
Caardvarks and Polkadoodles are both monochrome (hope the white and the gold promarker duck feet are ok)

Paper: DCWV Spring stack

Furry Relaxing!

I love these House Mouse stamps (although this one is a bunny) but have been resisting them. Fortunately my friend Sarah has invested and was kind enough to send me this one. I do have to admit to having bought the EK Success Retro Flower punch this week Ooops!

The layout is a fantastic sketch from Moving Along with the Times plus the theme was animals - think I might use this one again as it's simple but very effective.

Quixotic this week is make a splash
Our Creative Corner is Blossoms
Kaboodle is embossing (on flowers)

Paper - K&Co Classic K Bailey
Embossing - Divine Swirl
Buttons - Old shirt of my husbands

Sookie

Stitchy sent me this image called Sookie a while back and I've just kept looking at her as all she kept saying to me was "purple". Unfortunately the theme at C.R.A.F.T. is brown and pick this week so she got a makeover lol!
The sketch is from Crafty Sentiments and I've used nesties to cut her out and layer her and the sentiment onto so I'd like to enter it for this weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge of die cuts.
Paper - K&Co classic K Bailey
Punch - Martha Stewart Simple Scallop

Sorry for the bad pun but I tidied my desk aka the dining table and can now stick my elbows out without things falling on the floor lol!

A little bit of Stitching

I was hanging the cat picture in Abby's bedroom this morning (I'm impressed that it's up so quickly) and took a couple of quick pictures of the finished stitching that's on our landing.
Apologies for the rubbish lighting and appalling wallpaper - it's still on our to do list 7 years after moving in lol!
Both kits are still available from Sew & So although I nearly fainted when I saw how much the Doll House one is now.

This is the new one I started yesterday which will be made into a cushion for my friends daughter who is expecting at the beginning of August.
Can you guess who it is?

Baby Dragon

Stamping Dragon Designs has a DT call at the moment and the card had to made with this image of Rockabye Jiggy. I don't normally make cards this big but having decided to paper piece my dragons I had to give my wobbly craft knife hand some hope of not cutting important bits off.

Here's a close up of the ribbon I threaded through to make a bow and the doily I used as a background - note to self make sure you only use one next time as I stood the card up and the 2nd one and the dragons dropped off lol!
Sideways on to show the layers and decoupaged noses.
Paper is English Paper company

When Marg set the challenge on MSE this fortnight I knew exactly which image of Stitchy's I was going to use - it's called Flutterby. Torn Distressed or Shabby

When I won the GDT spot over at One Stitch at a Time I was excited but then panic set in as I'd never done anything like that before lol! In the end the worst bit was choosing which of the fabby girls awesome stamps to work with. I finally chose Butterfly Love by Stitchy and the rest they say is history :c)
The theme this week is Torn Distressed or Shabby not one I would normally go for but I'm really pleased with the finished result. Hop on over to see what the other girls have created.
Here's the whole card taken outside in the lovely sunshiney weather we've been having.
Papers: DCWV Linen Closet
Image: Painted with mica paints and coloured with promarkers
