TUSALly late

Bit of a cheat here as this was stitched as part of my hubby's xmas present - when I saw the Bent Creek chart I just had to stitch it as we always argue when I say this to him lol!

TUSAL is coming along nicely already although I can't show you what I'm stitching until it's finished but it's rather big and has a border fortunately not a gingham one this time - I'm still recovering from that one.

And I'm running very very late for the last TUSAL update of the year we finally have some Christmas decorations but seem to have mislaid the main box full some where in the move - it was desperate enough to get me up in the loft although I did have to have a bit of help to get back out again. No idea where they went but suppose it's a good time to replace them. we do have the trees and the lights but it's just a bit sad to be without some of the other things.

And here's santa!!!! Anyone who knows him will have fainted in shock I spent quite a while falling about in fits of giggles as he is the most anti Christmas person I know fortunately I resisted the urge to dress up as one of his elves.

Let me introduce you to Hamish - he's blossomed since we moved as he only ever used to have 3 scabby leaves and I thought you might like some flowers as I've been rubbish at commenting and posting and even proper Royal Mail type posting and a big wave to my new followers

In my defence I have been doing a lot of stitching much of which has not been finished off as yet but I've had man flu for the last few days

 It was a tad busy here yesterday so I didn't get my TUSAL post done - slap hand. I thought you might also like to see my new craftroom wall hanging. He's a somebunny and just his little face is stitched - bless!

It's TUSAL Day

This is the first one from our new house and I treated myself to a new jar as well.

I think these had been priced incorrectly as its about 10 inches tall and was only £4.99.

I'm still stitching these roses although this is the last one and I'm determined to get them finished before the next update. I can't decide on either red or purple for the cushion backing fabric.

A day late and a bit blurry but here's my TUSAL jar update this time. Not sure how much will be going in it this month as we are supposed to be moving next Monday - nothing like a bit of notice and that is really nothing like a bit of notice LOL!

TUSAL again already!

I can't believe we're round to yet another new moon and by my calculations it's rained here every day for the last 23 days!!!! There's some blue in my jar this month as I got a bit bored with the set of cushions I was stitching and have been stitching a couple of smaller designs.

Finally I've found a craft that Abby will join in with - we've tried cardmaking and knitting together but she just didn't take to them - this is her first ever attempt at cross stitch (I did the french knots) and she designed the writing herself. She has just started stitching her name from an alphabet chart so will post that once it's finished

Ooops this TUSAL post should have been done yesterday but it's here now - the fabric bits are from a cushion I made for my MIL for mothers days - that you can see HERE

This is the second cushion front for my new house - fingers crossed it all goes through ok.

I don't seem to have created much volume this moon but in my defence I always use a double thread folded in half so my leftovers are tiny :c)

Totally Useless.............

It's the first new moon of 2012 and time for my first TUSAL update.

I was hoping that all the yellow threads would have been finished by now but sadly the gingham border on the birth sampler is now becoming a bit of a chore.

The gingham offcuts are from a couple of cushions I've made with some stitching - a couple more to follow hopefully this week :c)

PS the heading also applies to my hubby's company car - he has had it back for 10 days and it has broken down again this morning - he has found it perfectly acceptable to take mine and leave me stuck in here waiting for a hire car as he "has so much to do". 

Strangely I think he would still be here waiting if I had my Peugeot 206 rather than the Audi and he completely ignored my request not to smoke in it as he had already lit up before he was out of the drive - he will just think it's funny!

Totally Useless Stitch A Long 2012

I've spent years thinking that my hoarding of odds and ends of thread until a stitching project is finished is strange, odd or maybe down right weird!!!

I've now found through Ali (thank you) a whole raft of people who not only think this is normal but it should be positively encouraged so I've found myself a jar to keep my odds and ends in and joined up for the Totally Useless Stitch A Long 2012 with Daffy Cat and am looking forward to adding to my jar during the
