Furry Friends at Fussy and Fancy Friday

I think I may have stretched the theme a tiny bit here but Lions and Tigers are definitely furry and Elephants are kind of hairy - and they look kind of friends to qualify for the Furry Friends challenge at Fussy and Fancy this time round it was going to be lions and tigers and bears in true Wizard of Oz style but Jellybean from Whimsy stamps insisted on joining in the fun with paper from Sassy Designs and sentiment from Lili of the Valley

Whimsy Challenge Reminder

Anything goes so long as it's festive at Whimsy Inspires is the current challenge and you still have time to get your entries in.

I've used Christmas Birdhouses 10  by Moon Cookie Gallery for my final Christmas card of the year.
Sorry for the weird colours in the picture but it doesn't seem to get light here just at the mo.

And I'm running very very late for the last TUSAL update of the year we finally have some Christmas decorations but seem to have mislaid the main box full some where in the move - it was desperate enough to get me up in the loft although I did have to have a bit of help to get back out again. No idea where they went but suppose it's a good time to replace them. we do have the trees and the lights but it's just a bit sad to be without some of the other things.

And here's santa!!!! Anyone who knows him will have fainted in shock I spent quite a while falling about in fits of giggles as he is the most anti Christmas person I know fortunately I resisted the urge to dress up as one of his elves.

Here are some chubby robins to welcome in December! I'm even more Bah Humbug with Christmas now but these little guys are kinda cute. I stitched them then ironed them onto interfacing to stop any fraying and cut them out with tiny scissors. The papers are My Minds Eye and the Scrabble letters are Whimsy stamps.

Whimsy Challenge Reminder

Our Traditional Christmas colours challenge is still running at Whimsy right now so you still have time to play along and you don't even need to use a Whimsy stamp to join in.

I've used one of Raindrop Echo Designs Season's Greeting Sentiments for my card with some bright red ribbon that I bought in Tesco for pence last January. The paper is from a really old Papermania pack called Secret Garden.

Another Book

I absolutely loved this - a murder detective novel but with lots of life story background. If you like Susan Hills Serrailler series then you'll enjoy it too although it is set on the Isle of Lewis and uses some Scottish phrases that may sound a bit odd to English ears. I made me smile as it was like having my father -in-law in my head.

Barry!

This little guy always makes me smile possibly as my older brother is called Barry too - he's from Stampfairy.
The papers are from one of the very first collections from Lili of the Valley so probably qualify as vintage by now it's great what you find when you move..........

The card blank was cut on my Silhouette am so glad I bought some stick and spray from Crafters Companion as it's saved me a fortune on cutting mats.

I can't believe it's Friday again! So as team B are in charge at the moment - here is my card using one of the pre-coloured designs from a couple of weeks ago.

I did have a play with one of this weeks designs to make the labels for me to use at the craft fairs I'm doing. I've made the price and description detachable so I can take different items with me :0)
