Look what I got...............
A brand new grandbaby!
this is Aidan James who was born yesterday weighing 8lbs 5ozs
you may (or may not) have noticed that my posts have been a bit short for the last couple of weeks but I've been to Koh Samui on my holidays - fortunately the little chap waited until we were waiting for our cases at Heathrow on the way home to appear.
He lives in Scotland so we are hoping to get to see him next weekend for a cuddle
Let's Dance
Oh that title takes me back to my David Bowie album of the same name only about 25 years ago cough!! Anyway I digress I'm probably buried up to my armpits in washing right now as we're all just back from our holidays and I'm of course doing a dance 'coz I'm back to work tomorrow - OH JOY!
I've used Sylvie stamps image called Isobelle for my card at I Did it Creations this week. You really should check her images out as several of them are perfect for our Dance theme this week. I've used K & Co papers and added some tiny mulberry paper flowers and pearls that I found when tidying up. Her tutu has loads of glamour dust on it but it doesn't show in the picture.

Summer Time at Creative Inspirations
I don't know if you've noticed my new shiny DT badge but I was over the moon when I was asked to join the fabby DT over at Creative Inspirations. Debbie has picked the theme this time and it's Summertime.
we have a wonderful prize of a stamp set from Little Claire
I've used the bright cheerful colours of DCWV Hopscotch Boy papers together with some offcuts of card from my stash. The swinging boy image is from Sassy Cheryls Digis I've dabbed distress inks round the image to try and make a background (need a bit more practise at this) and coloured him with promarkers.

Sketch at Oldie but a Goodie Challenge
It's my final challenge as a Guest Designer over at An Oldie but a Goodie today - I really have no idea where the last 2 months have gone. Thanks to the girls for asking me to join them :c)
Today we have a sketch for you
The rules are the same as usual - use any image you like as long as it's a real inky stamped one and over 6 months old. I checked Funky kits website and the Simply Sassy I've used for my card was released on 20th January so she just qualifies by a few days!
I've teamed her with Wild Rose Studio paper and a sheet of the DCWV metallic stack using my Retro flower punches to make the flowers. The corners are a Sizzix die. Sentiment and card candy from Craftwork cards.

Mark Your Pages
We're sponsored by Robyn's Fetish this week for our bookmark challenge over at I Did It Creations. If I'm not crafting I have my nose in a book so this will come in very useful on my holidays this year as a huge proportion of my luggage allowance is taken up by books. I plan to get off the plane and lose the use of my arms and legs lol!
I've used Franny da Kitty together with an offcut of DCWV paper and my iron eagle corner punch. The sequinned flower was graciously donated by my daughter after it fell off one of her hair clips

All Bea Herself
Bea is still grabbing the spotlight over at the Teddy Bo challenge and boy has all the attention gone to her head. Hopefully she won't fall off her moon while she's star gazing and do herself an injury lol!

Animals with JLJ designs
We want to see your animals at I Did It Creations this week - any one will do but I've used a bear (no surprise there) from our sponsor JLJ Designs and I digitally paper-pieced him with one of her papers before cutting him out. He's matted onto some whitewash core'dinations embossed with the Sizzix build a bear embossing folder and added a wee sentiment from Imagine That stamps.

Ribbon and Lace At Oldie But a Goodie
This is my penultimate GDT card for the Oldie but a Goodie Challenge. I really don't know where the time is going just at the moment. We have a theme of riboon and lace this fortnight so i dug out one of the few bits of lace I have and used this really old bunny stamp. I think I've had it at least 6 years so he more than qualifies for the 6 month cut off :c)
Challenges:
Teddy Bea on her own
It's time for a brand new challenge over at Teddy Bo and this time we just want to see Bea - on her own by herself and with no one with her :c)
I've used Topsy Turvy for my card which really took me back to my school days although we did our handstands against the playing field fence
Ingredients:
Echo Park paper, Sizzix die cut branch, Joy Craft flowers plus card candy and sentiment from Craftwork Cards
You really must hop on over to see what the rest of Team A have created this week and to the shop to spend on the new images or some old ones you might have missed
Challenges:
Crazy Challenge - summertime
Happileigh Scrapping - critters
Karen's Doodles - summer fun
Pollycraft - the great outdoors

Floral at I Did It Creations
I've tried digital colouring in Gimp for my card for the I did it Creations challenge today using Glitterbabe's fab image who is our sponsor this week. It's something I'm trying to have a bit of practise at but haven't quite managed shading yet and the colour on screen is not exactly what I get from my printer :c)
I've used pink petticoat paper with a cuttlebug die cut sentiment and flowers and embossed the purple with a Tim Holtz folder.

Ooops I'm late
After all the excitement at Teddy Bo towers on Thursday night I clean forgot to post my card. I blame it on the stunning men - if you're baffled have a squizz here.
I've used Teddy Bea A Day of Crafts and put her into a freebie quick page from Raspberry Road. I printed her twice so I could raise the middle bit and then punched some flowers and butterflies from the spare squares.

Making it with Meslyn in July
There's a new challenge over at Making it with Meslyn for July and it's a recipe:
Ribbon
Sentiment
and a splash of citrus
Other than the cloud paper (pink Petticoat) everything else is from Craftwork cards at Meslyn Crafts, even the elephants! I'm hoping to see some real ones on my holidays (not that I'm counting sleeps or anything but it's single figures!)
Challenges:
It's Time...............
Said Hartley Hare or was it pig - do you remember Pipkins?
I've been a bit MIA this past couple of weeks as I've been making teachers presents ready for tall child to finish school plus have been trying to get ahead of myself before the holidays start.
I've been making some of these.............. sorry for the dodgy photos but I got bored taking them!
It was a real challenge making them all different but have finally made the last one tonight.
I would like to enter the last purple one into the MSE cardmaking challenge - pearls & swirls
And watching some of this..................
It was sports day today (another last thing for me to attend) and Abby was very proud to win 3 firsts - there are obviously some benefits of being 3rd tallest in the school she was especially chuffed with a win in the egg and spoon race. The trophey is for being the best playground friend. Fortunately the rain held off until the final prizes were given out. I really can't believe her time at primary school is almost over and am looking forward to buying the rest of her new school uniform NOT! I've already spent a fortune on the "essential" logo covered kit.

A few Don'ts
Don't leave your holiday bag unattended on the dining table when you've just removed all the cat fur from it!
Don't let your husband wash his holiday trainers in a hungry washing machine!
Don't forget to visit Teddy Bo for this weeks new releases! And make something other than a card for this week's challenge!

Almost 4th July
We're all patriotic over at I Did it Creations this week so I've used red white and blue together with this fantastic digi image from this weeks sponsor Beary Dust. You can buy her fantastic images at Stitchy Bear Stamps. I've kept it simple just colouring the bears themselves and adding some die cut stars. The sentiment is from Imagine That stamps.
