Material Girl

I'm lucky to be GDT on this weeks Crafty Catz challenge which is to use material on your creation as it's being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and they asked for a volunteer. The image I've used is Robyn's Angie Angel. Hadn't really thought about what I was going to do when I volunteered and went into panic mode lol!

Fortunately I have a stash of fabric as well as paper so used some gingham fabric in blue and lilac where I would normally have used paper. The brown paper is a cut up lunch bag. I added some doodles and some buttons and stuck it all together - hope you like it!

Fancy Folds at I Did it Creations

When I realised the challenge at I Did it Creations this week was fancy folds the conversation in my head went something like this - I'll make a sidestep card - hmmm not done one of them before - how can I cut the side bit straight without my guillotine - what else can I do? - but I want to do a sidestep - OK I'll find a tutorial so I used this one

We are sponsored by Stamping Dragon Designs this week and I've used Jiggy with Flowers that you can buy in the shop here. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. The papers are all My Mind's Eye - the blue is Bohemia and the flowers are made from Penny Lane using 2 sizes of EK Success retro flower punches

Penguin Piggy Back

I guess this little guy is heavier than he looks as he's squashed his little friend lol! This is another of my Elzybells recent adoptions and there's a few more that I haven't used yet (well those bears are just sooooo cute).

I kept this one simple just cutting the image and a layer using Nesties, the ribbon was from Crafty Ribbons in a goody bag and the embossing is Little Claire's lines and dots folder.

I would like to enter them into the following Xmas in July challenges:
Tuesday Taggers
I love Promarkers

Up the Wooden Hill

I just love this stamp from Little Claire so used it again before I had a tidy up to make room for the piles of ironing :c)

She has been heat embossed and colored with promarkers. I found a peony die cut in my scrap box and used my heart embossing folder on it. Embossed a Personal Impressions circle sentiment and attached it over a bear charm on tiger tail.

I would like to enter her into the Crafty Sentiments embossing challenge and the Corrosive pink and blue one.

Buddy Birthday

I hadn't used this cute Buddy Bear stamp from Nutcrafters or these Retro Floral Papermania papers for ages so used up a couple of offcuts on this card.
The Craftwork Cards Sentiment is layered onto a flower and I added a knotted jewellery cord with a couple of beads.

See Saw Marjorie Bears

Teddy stampers is asking for as you like it this week with an option of 2x2. I managed 2 bears, flowers and 4 gems but only had room for 1 bit of ribbon as the image was bigger than I first thought - I did try it but had to take it off :c) I'd also like to enter it into the Crafty Catz summertime challenge

This Elzybell image makes me smile I keep hearing the top bear going whoo hoo - I'll get me coat LOL!
The paper is MME that was free with cardmaking and papercrafting - I really must put it away or I'll use it all

And so to Bed

This image just said Linen Closet to me so those DCWV papers were the inspiration for the colours on this cute Little Claire stamp called And so to bed.
The Blog-a-doodle challenge is use blue, embossing and sparkle so I got out my new distressed stickles and found they went everywhere just like normal stickles do when I use them. At least I had a reason to get distressed this time LOL!
Photobucket

Bear Necessities

Having bought a few bears in the Elzybells closing down sale I thought it was about time I inked at least one! Ok 2 as the sentiment is also from there.
The embossing in the background is the lines and dots folder from Little Claire (another recent sale purchase)
I've kept it simple to enter the Just Cute Bears challenge this week.

Nappy Pot

A nappy cake with a difference. Hadn't bought a blanket to go with these goodies so nipped in the pound shop and picked up this planter lol! Had forgotten how much space 2 packs of nappies would take up so it was still a squeeze!!

OSAAT - Black White & One other

We had some sad news last week that Susan from Crafty Chaos had decided to stop selling at Stitchy Bear Stamps. We'll definitely miss her but she is staying on as part of the DT - Yay. Stitch wanted her to go out with a bang so this week the OSAAT A Team have all used her black and white papers as a surprise for our challenge which is black white and 1. I've actually chosen a very dark pink (it looks red in the pics) for Hope Jacare's image called New Shoes - as usual you can buy these from Stitchy Bear Stamps and the sale is running until the end of the month.

My first project is an easel card with added gems, ribbon and a Craftwork Cards sentiment. I also made 3 pizza boxes and a co-ordinating gift tag. I used a tutorial from Splitcoast stampers which only took a few minutes using my trusty Scor-Pal

So get your black and white stuff out and hop over to join in........

Janette from Stamping Dragon is having a DT call and even better she's letting everyone play with this gorgeous Jiggy image :c)
The Dungarees papers I've used are by Toucan Scraps which you can buy here or here and you can check out the other Stamping Dragon designs in those two stores as well.
Jiggy is coloured with Cool Grey 1, pastel and denim blue Promarkers.
The fern branch die is from Little Claire
The flowers are a Joy die.
The sentiment is a Lily of the Valley stamp

Bed Time Bear

This is exactly how I feel today - only I could get a stinking cold in the middle of summer lol! The image was sent to me by my very generous friend Rainmac. Couldn't decide between pink and blue so did both.
The card is based on the Corrosive challenge sketch for this week but I added a spotty ribbon that I got free from somewhere possibly Crafty Ribbons :c)
The backing paper is one of the Papermania collections and the glitter card has a border added with my EK Success paw print punch.

Forever Bears

I was sorting out my images and found these cute little guys so used them for the Just Cute Bears sketch challenge. The ABC challenge is Y is for you and me so would like to enter them into that as well.

I've had a love hate relationship with ribbon for ages - love how it looks - hate not being able to tie nice bows so invested the huge sum of 99p plus postage on a bowmaker and am now able to make lovely bows after looking at a tutorial from You Tube for the bow easy (was too squeaky to buy one of them though LOL!)

Supplies:
Co-ordinations card - Harbourside
Doily - from Rainmac - thank you :c)
Glittercard cut with nestie mega scallop circles
Ribbon free with PJ's from Primark!
Photobucket

OSAAT - Military!

The challenge this week over at One Stitch at a Time is Military - after much head scratching I came up with the idea of using camo paper on my card. I was lucky enough to be able to work with this fabby bear called Christmas Teddy and Scalf by Stampin Dragon Designs. I paper pieced his hat and scarf with the same camo paper and flocked the brim of his hat but it didn't come out on the photo.

The border is punched using my new X Cut Diamond border embossing punch and the sentiment is a Craftwork Cards Oh My Word.

I would like to enter him into:
