More Sparkle at One Stitch at a Time

A bit more sparkle for you today for this weeks challenge at OSAAT - makes a change from that horrible white stuff that we have dropping from the sky at the moment!
The papers I've used are part of the December collaboration  that you can get free if you spend $10 at Stitchy Bear Stamps plus there's a sale over there at the moment and loads of new artists.

I've used a Sugar Nellie Gorjuss girl here and coloured her with Promarkers and Sakura pens for the sparkly tights. Glitter card is from Home Bargains and sentiment is Lily of the Valley. The card is for my daughters friend's birthday tomorrow but if it keeps snowing like this I won't be going anywhere as I won't be able to get my car up the slope and out of the drive :c)

In with the OSAAT New

In with the New at One Stitch At a Time this week led me back to the bears. They've been off on a picnic recentlybut now it's got a bit cold and damp they've come back in again! This cute little guy is by Lexi Creations and you can adopt him here . As usual we have fab work by the rest of the DT plus maybe a prize or two :c)
The backing paper is MME True Blue (yes it is more of a turquoise) and although I love these papers I was a bit disappointed that there's not more blue in them. The stars a cut using a cuttlebug die from pearlescent silver and core'dinations cardstock as is the tag (another forgotten die) The sentiment is metal but as I received it from a friend on MSE I have no idea where it came from (thanks!)

Traditional Christmas At I Did It Creations

Traditional Christmas Colours are not something I tend to use as I'm not really that keen on green however that's the challenge on I Did It Creations this week and I actually love this card. Not to be dragged into the whole traditional thing I used a Non Christmas image by Robyn's Fetish called air fairy, she's actually really glittery in real life but it doesn't show in the photos.
I received the red DP in a stash swap so don't know what make it is sorry. The word is a cuttlebug die and the embossing is the cuttlebug script embossing folder which had yet another outing :c). The flower was from I am Roses and glitter is sakura pen as the cat is fed up with eating the loose stuff LOL!
I would also like to enter this into:

Best Friends in Blue

We're using our favourite colours over at One Stitch at a Time this week hop an over and see what the other DT girls have done this week and see what fabulous prizes you can win. Bet you can't guess what mine is? You're right it's pink - not! LOL. This lovely image is by Sylvie Stamps and called Best Friends 2 (no 1 is fabulous ballet dancers that Would look great in pink!). The sentiment is from create with TLC
The design is this week's Pixie Cottage sketch with the option of using 2 colours - I've used blue & white. The smaller flowers are a Joy craft Die and the button in the big one is a cuttlebug die. I also found a sizzix tag die in the box with the button one so used it to make the layered tag.
I would also like to enter these 2 girls into:

Winter Wonderland at OSAAC

This week at OSAAT we are being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads - don't you just love her cutie images???
This one is called Penguins Visit for our theme of winter wonderland kind of anything goes Christmas.

Don't know what's up with me at the moment but I just couldn't get this gorgeous organza ribbon to stay put. It even took 3 lots of diamond glaze to get that bow on growl........... but it is lovely ribbon. I've also added some tiny jingle bells but you can't see them in the picture (the cat couldn't work out where the noise was coming from). Anita's glitterations numbers and paper from DCWV were all I used in addition to distress stickles (not getting on with these very well) and promarkers of course!

When I was making this I realised that I've never made a card with Santa on - how weird is that? LOL!

Holiday Colour Mix up at IDIC

We have a right challenge for you over at I Did It Creations for you this week. Use colours from a different season to create a Christmas project. Easy I thought I'll use Autumn or Fall colours. 3 attempts later and here's Can I go again Paulo by Lexi's Creations in all his autumn glory for some reason I just wasn't happy with my previous efforts lol!
An emergency order from Crafty Emmas store of the new MME paper pads finally came to my rescue. The postman was hardly out of the drive before I was cutting and sticking. I decided to decoupage him and the snow effect was done using a versamark card and some crystal embossing powder.

Cutie Girl Card

Tall child has gone ice skating for the first time today as her friend's birthday treat so of course I had to make a card. This is an Elisabeth Bell digi and actually looks a bit like the girl whose birthday it is :c) It's such a gorgeous image that I didn't go OTT and used Dovecraft back to basics as the backing paper. Think I'm ill at the moment as I keep piling on the flowers, card candy & buttons at the moment very unlike me lol! She also has 2 gems on the flowers in her hair but you can't see them in the pic
I took these pics last night at 9:30 sooooooo love the daylight lamp that OH bought me for my birthday almost as much as the cuttlebug he bought 2 years ago!

Melinda Blows Kisses

As much as I love digi sometimes I just have to get the rubber ones out and play. This is Melinda blowing kisses by Whiff of Joy that I bought a couple of weeks ago.
There's a fantastic sketch over at Stampin with the Dragon at the moment and a fantastic colour combo of kraft, lime green and pick at Fab N Funky but I didn't have any kraft card left so recycled some old brown paper that I had squirrelled away to fit the Pixie Cottage recycle challenge.

Papers & sentiment are all MME freebies from a magazine. The edge punch is Martha Stewart and the corner punch is an EK Success one called Iron Eagle

I would also like to enter her into:
The Saturday Challenge, For Fun, Stamp with Fun, Incy Wincy and Paper Players.

More Mens Cards

It's my Step Dad's and Uncle's birthdays this month and knew this image from Delicious Doodles called Coming Home would be perfect. I've left both cards very simple as it's such a detailed image and I didn't want to spoil it. I also have to post them so the layers are stuck directly on to each other in the hope they'll squeeze through the 5mm slot in the Post Office ;c)

I would like to enter them into:

Baby Bud

This cute image was a freebie from Baby Bud Designs and thought it would be rude not to use it to enter their challenge of scallops buttons & bling. Unfortunately the gems and sakura pens don't show very well in the pic and neither does the pearlescent paper but it's been so grey and dreich here all day it's been impossible to get any decent photos :c(

I was trying for a completely random effect with the buttons and struggled to do it as I like everything neat and tidy but hubby has started taking the mick out of me having "3 little thingys" on my cards so that's one in the eye for him LOL!

Footy Man Card

I quite enjoy making mens cards and when I realised a guy at work's birthday is next week I know this freebie from Pollycraft would be the perfect image. He's a Man U fan who's a little worried about losing his hair and having to wear glasses - hope he brings his sense of humour with him to work the day he opens it LOL!

I would like to enter this one into:

That Bunny Again

While he was sitting on my desk I made a card as well as the ATC from the previous post. The cuttelbug embossing folder is part of a set with a sentiment die. Paper is DCWV spring stack.

I would like to enter:

Sadly neglected bunny

I unearthed this cute little bunny stamp when looking for something else so decided to use the sketch at Fairymoon crafts to turn him into an ATC. The paper is a DCWV spring stack offcut.

I would also like to enter it into the ABAC challenge at Mami Doodles

Hugs,
Debbie
