A Special Birthday

I was over the moon last week to receive a Facebook order for a mothers day card and a birthday card for someone's mum. My own mother is not a great fan of my cards for some reason but she likes my stitching.

I would therefore like to say a big thank you for the order and also to all my followers and virtual friends as I've needed a little lift the last few days.

Hop It's Ok!

Sorry for the blurry piccy but this was another one that I've had to post as soon as it's dry but think I've kind of caught up with cards now.

I so love this cute little guy called Gus from Whimsy Stamps.

This was a really quick card using a sheet of Cosmo cricket paper and offcuts of card from my box. I've added some brown card candy to the embossed mirror card but now wonder if it looks like currants LOL!

Am sure Abby's grandad who it's on it's way too will find it funny.

I would like to enter him into Sundays with Crissy.

Back as Threatened

What a day!!! Had to have car at garage for 8am for what was supposed to be a normal service. Ended up with 2 new tyres as this was the inside of one of them and the metal bit is some part of the brakes that was "sometimes making a bit of a bangy noise" quoting me this morning.

We've also been trying to agree a price for a house we looked at last week and I finally managed to squeeze the extra little bit out of hubby - it's soooo hard getting cash out of my Scotsman unless you're at the bar LOL! 

After all that here's my card with one of this week's images. I found these ancient papers when tidying up and forgotten how nice they are.

Teddy Bo Tuesday

We're still cooking up a storm with our menu challenge at Teddy Bo this week and have lots of yummy new releases for you to peruse.

Lilac Elephants

Blue and Spotty!

 I love this Sassy Cheryl image which is handy as I managed to print Noah and Patches out a tad bigger than expected. The original idea was to enter into the Sassy Cheryl challenge as well but I forgot it starts on a Tuesday so I'll add it to show me Thursday instead

Chefs Required at Teddy Bo

We like nothing better than a good slap up meal at Teddy Bo especially when Haggis is on the menu washed down with several vats of Potato Vodka. Our new challenge is a recipe one and you can choose only one choice from each course although you can order as many sides as you like.

Our DT co-ordinator at D'Arcy's Diaries has just spent 3 weeks in Thailand - I'm not jealous at all!!!!

Happy Bearday

 I always ask Abby what she wants on her cards as that's part of the fun of it and it's usually a challenge. She was worse this year (she's now 12) I blame High School lol!

Me: What do you want on your card?

Ab: A bear and a cat

Me: ok colour

Ab: White

Me: All white? Extracting eyebrows from hair

Ab: Ummm a bit of pink then but not that girly one.

I hope this is ok for madam- If not I'll be taking my stuff off to the dog house :c)

A noseless one

I now have a very small collection of Tildas and boy is this one small!!!

It really does make her difficult to use on a relatively unfussy card so I went for busy paper it's First Edition but I have no idea which pad :c)

The dies cuts have been embossed with a Craft Concepts folder called wings - now used :c)

The little butterflies are a green woodware punch

As it's tall child's birthday tomorrow we went go-karting and even though I only watched we had a great time - it was much more civilised to take a group of almost 12 year olds out than have a screaming hall full of small people although I drew the short straw and had a car full of giggling yapping girls for an hour lol!
